Margaret Thatcher Passes Away

She made history as the first female British Prime Minister, and sadly Margaret Thatcher passed away on Monday morning (April 8).

According to former advisor Lord Timothy Bell, the 87-year-old politician suffered a massive stroke that took her life.
His statement read, “It is with great sadness that Mark and Carol Thatcher announced that their mother Baroness Thatcher died peacefully following a stroke this morning. A further statement will be made later.”

Back in 2011, Margaret’s life was chronicled in the much-loved film “The Iron Lady” and Meryl Streep won an Oscar for her role.
